Timothy Mpofu (b. 2000), known professionally as Bezalel, is a self-taught South African contemporary artist based in London. He is currently studying an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, graduating in 2027. His practice is primarily sculptural and engages with figuration to explore the relationship between the materiality of wood and the human condition, using biblical scripture to contextualize his work.
